This course is an invaluable opportunity to maximise your ability to teach and prescribe yoga stretches for specific musculoskeletal conditions in your clinical practice. Yoga stretches are integrated with clinical based evidence and applied in an effective and functional way. Each participant will develop the ability to design and adapt yoga exercises for each patient. We believe that exercise prescription has often been underrated and repetitive: this course will inject variety, clinical effectiveness and new life to how you design an effective exercise programme that is clinically based and responds to the patients’ needs.

The course will be very practical in nature! Participants will learn which structures are stressed or released, how to vary the intensity of each stretch, how to adapt the position depending on each patient’s needs and how it can be functionally progressed. There will be the opportunity to learn some ‘hands-on” techniques to help patients move into a stretch safely end effectively. The practical part will be accompanied by clear lectures on the anatomical and pathophysiological aspects of each structure and with clinical scenarios presenting with common musculoskeletal conditions.

The course is divided in three separate weekends focusing on:
Hip and lower limbs
Thoracic spine and upper limbs
Lumbar spine

Each weekend will be independently taught offering a clear mechanical and functional view of the area, common musculoskeletal pathologies and restrictions, yoga stretches and their functional applications to sports and daily activities.

The course has a limited availability of 15 participants to guarantee optimal support and 1-2-1 attention to exact and correct positioning and techniques. Each weekend can be booked separately, but preferred reservation will be given to students that can commit to the whole course. The course will take place in Canary Wharf, London.
