Course Overview:
You will learn basic steps leading to classical yoga postures. You can expect to enhance your flexibility, co-ordination and strength. You will improve your breathing through breath awareness and will learn relaxation techniques to promote and encourage inner harmony.
How to apply for the Wellbeing Project
This course is part of the Wellbeing Project which is a national project researching how learning can help your mental wellbeing. You will need to attend an interview to confirm your elligibility for the course and fill in a questionnaire at the start, during, and at the end of the course (only anonymised information will be shared with the project funders).

How to Enrol:

This course is free for those who are experiencing stress, low mood or difficulty sleeping (100% concession)

Course programme
Your lessons will include various combinations of the following:
• Yoga concepts focused on improving mental wellbeing
• Short relaxation and breath awareness
• Warm ups
• Postures including sitting, standing, lying, kneeling, forward bends, back bends, side bends, twists, balancing and inverted.
• Variations and moderations of the above
• Final relaxation and recovery
