Course Overview
This course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency aid skills,or who takes part in an organised First Aid Scheme.
Course Structure
This course covers how and when to use an automated external defibrillator. AEDs are located in many public places e.g. shopping centres, railway stations and swimming pools. Knowing how to use one could save someone's life. The course features extensive practical training including CPR, recovery position, heart attacks etc., recognising the various types of AED and operating them. There is a practical final assessment.
Qualification Aims
A certificate of competence will be awarded. The certificate is renewable on a six monthly basis.
Assessments/Examinations
The course involves continual assessment with a final practical and multiple-choice examination.

Tuition fee:£70. No concessions.
