· Course Overview: · This qualification extends the level one computerised accounting qualification into more complex bookkeeping transactions. An in depth understanding of manual bookkeeping is essential as candidates will need to know and apply knowledge about journals, bad debts, depreciation, contra entries and bank reconciliation statements. The programme involves creating a set of computerised business accounts, entering and creating account codes. Dealing with a variety of transactions through the customer, supplier and nominal ledgers to produce a series of reports for managers and customers. Stock transactions will also be completed but are not examined.
Entry Requirements: · Candidates must have successfully completed a level one computerised accounting qualification and a level two manual bookkeeping qualification. Any less and the candidates will not have the requisite underpinning knowledge and understanding to complete the qualification. An interest in the subject area and practical work experience would be a distinct advantage. All students will be interviewed to ascertain previous qualifications and experience of computerised accounting packages.
