Course programme
Dressmaking Course delivered in twelve 2 hour classes. The classes take place at our premises in Brighouse, close to J25 of the M62. Our location makes us very easy to get to from most of West Yorkshire, including Huddersfield, Halifax, Dewsbury, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield.
The courses are a choice of either Fridays 6pm - 8pm starting from 13th January 2012 or Mondays 10am - 12pm starting from 9th January 2012.
This course is suitable for people with no prior knowledge, but you need to have a sewing machine which you will bring with you after the second class. Students also need to bring an A4 folder with plastic sleeves, to house patterns and work, a pair of paper scissors, pencil, pen and a note book.
You will also require a sewing kit consisting of tape measure, dressmaking pins, tailors chalk, unpicker, dressmaking scissors and fabric snips. If you do not have the sewing kit items, you can purchase them from us before or after the first class.
By the end of the course you will have learnt how to start from paper patterns and gained the skills to have completed two or three of your own garments.
Total cost is £118, payable in two instalments of £59, the first upon application and the second before the 7th lesson.
