Content This course is an ideal starting place if you want to have a technical career in Automotive Engineering. This level 1 qualification covers the basic technical needs for todays motor vehicle repair industry. You will study the theory and practical aspects of - light vehicle (cars and vans), construction and routine maintenance, operating principles of light vehicle engines, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension, transmission systems and electrical/electronic systems.

Assessment Practical assessments on motor vehicles and rigs in the workshop, on-line tests and end of topic tests.
