About this course

The first step is to attend a free introductory talk, where you will learn:

How the TM technique can benefit you
How it works – the process of transcending
How it differs from other meditation practices
Following the talk there will be an opportunity to meet privately with the Teacher to discuss personal considerations.

The talk is a prerequisite to joining a course but there is no commitment to learn. It is open to everyone even if you only have a mild curiosity!

Yes. Anyone can practise Transcendental Meditation. The technique allows the activity of the mind to settle down in a natural way until it is left quiet, but still wide awake. It's very simple.

Other systems generally involve either concentration (which means effort) or contemplation (thinking about something), both of which tend to keep the mind lively and active. Transcendental Meditation is a completely natural, effortless practice.

Twenty minutes, twice a day. Often this can be done on the train to work. Futhermore, people often find that the extra energy and clarity that they get from TM actually saves them times.

This DVD assisted course has been compiled by Dr Thomas Egenes, PhD, Associate Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science at Maharishi University of Management, Iowa, USA. It will be taught under the expert guidance of Angela Landers BScOT, BA Health & Physiology, who studied Sanskrit with Dr Egenes at Maharishi University of Management as part of her degree.(
