COURSE STRUCTURE
The qualification has two pathways - Adults & Children and Young People. To obtain this qualification a total of 8 units must be completed for each pathway, 4 core and 4 optional units.
Core Modules (Generic)
*Promote effective communication for and about individuals.
*Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment.
*Reflect on and develop your practice.
Core Modules (Children and young people)
*Promote the well-being and protection of children and young people.
Core Modules (Adult)
*Promote choice, well-being and the protection of all individuals. In addition candidates will have to choose 4 more modules out of 22 options (Children and Young People pathway) and 4 modules out of 10 (Adult pathway).
Entry Requirements
Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Care.
Substantial working experience in the field.

The results are assessed by:
Portfolio building
External assessment
Progression
This Course equips an individual to work confidently as a senior care assistant in care Homes such as Nursing Homes, Residential Homes, Hospitals as well as domiciliary care settings. After this Level a candidate may wish to progress onto Level 4 in Care.
Course Fee: £ 2,500 (excluding registration and examinations fee).
