Our BA Intercultural Communication and/with Language with International Experience allows you to study intercultural communication while at the same time improving your fluency in a foreign language. You can choose between French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish and, for most of our languages, you can start the programme at the level of language learning that suits you. Not only will you attain a good level of competence in the language, you will also have a chance to learn about the culture of the language-speaking area, choosing from a range of modules covering literature, film, history, visual culture and philosophy, among other cultural fields.

For the intercultural communication component you will learn about how communication practices differ across cultures and you will also be introduced to communication practices in various international and work-related contexts.

The third year is normally spent abroad at a partner institution to allow you to develop your language skills and your knowledge of the culture of the language-speaking area you are studying.

The programme is also available for full-time evening study over three years or for part-time evening study over four years or six years.
