What is the course about?
This course is for anyone interested in learning the skills and techniques required to make your own clothes. You will learn how to shape and work materials and how to work to a pattern. You will learn a variety of the basic techniques of dressmaking. Once you have mastered the techniques you will be able to create your own piece to demonstrate your learning.
Are there any additional requirements?
Materials; Students will have access to the tools to create an item of clothing. Students will be asked to pay for own patterns and materials.
What are the course outcomes?
How will you be assessed?
Although there is no formal assessment, your work will receive feedback from your lecturer. If you attend at least 80% of the sessions you will be awarded a certificate outlining your achievements.
