What will I study?
The course is for those individuals who are entering the sport and recreation industry for the first time and who will be working with limited responsibility and under supervision. Students should also have an interest in coaching football.

How can I progress?
Students can progress on to a Level 2 where you can specialise in the coaching and instructing of fitness activities. Association football. Students can also look for employment in the sport and leisure industry usually as centre assistants or operatives.

What will I need to qualify for this course?
There are no formal entry requirements, but students are required to attend for an interview to determine their suitablility for the course. All learners are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check.

Course Structure
In order to gain a full NVQ 1 Football Coaching & Instruction these units will be studied; *Help to maintain facility areas, *Help to set up, take down and store equipment, *Lead an activity within a session, *Help give good levels of service to participants and customers, *Deal with accidents and emergencies, and *Plan and prepare activities.
