Course Description: This course is intended for anyone who is not qualified as a teacher but who is interested in supporting learners to access learning and the curriculum.

It is intended for anyone who has some autonomy in the role and is suitable for those working with learners with special educational needs. The course is mapped to the National Occupational Standards for Teaching Assistants and Part B of the Key Skills Specifications.

Entry Requirements:

• Candidates should secure a part-time or full-time placement in either a foundation, primary, secondary or FE setting, supporting learners with the curriculum.
• A minimum of GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent.
