Is it right for me?
The pressures we exert on horses, both pleasure and competition, can result in muscle tension, soft tissue injury, soreness and stiffness. For example, a horse may be seen as preferring one rein, becoming anxious and nervous, showing uneven strides or objecting to being tacked up or groomed. Equine massage can be used as a rehabilitation treatment for horses recovering from an injury. Competition horses can benefit from pre or post'competition massages to keep them supple and relaxed. It is a very pleasurable experience for the horse and can act as a therapeutic treatment for stressed or nervous horses. Used regularly, equine massage can benefit older horses or those prone to stiffness.
