Students will make a small lead panel, a decoration or lightcatcher using copper foil and a mirror or decorative tile in glass appliqué. At the end of the course you will be able to: Cut glass into a variety of shapes. Design projects and make working drawings. Select appropriate glass.

Level: Level 1
Course content:
Students will learn skills to complete small projects in lead, copper foil and glass appliqué techniques. Students will make a small lead panel, a decoration or lightcatcher using copper foil and a mirror or decorative tile in glass appliqué.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
Cut glass into a variety of shapes.
Design projects and make working drawings.
Select appropriate glass for project and cut as per working drawing.
Use appropriate techniques to complete projects.
Finish projects as per design.
Experienced students will choose and plan projects with guidance from the tutor.
Course Structure:
Demonstration of skills followed by student practice towards completion of projects. Individual advice and guidance will be given and there will be opportunities for questions and discussion.
Material Costs
Beginners - Approximately £20 for materials for first 3 projects. Experienced students will purchase materials for individual projects. Advice on costs will be given when planning project. All students £5 for basic materials.

Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
