Course Description
This course combines all of the latest techniques in manicure and acrylic nail extensions. It is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career as a nail technician or enhance their current range of beauty therapy skills.

Course Structure
You will cover units on the following treatments/areas:

• Manicure techniques
• Application of acrylic nail extensions
• Maintenance and repair of acrylic nail extensions

You will also be required to complete a Level 2 Certificate in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards alongside your programme.

The course is assessed continually by the use of practical observations carried out on paying clients, written assignments and end of unit tests. Students will also be required to develop a portfolio of evidence.

It is a mandatory requirement of the course that all students purchase a professional kit, text book and uniform. Details of which will be provided upon acceptance onto the course.

Course Entry Requirements
All learners will need to complete an application prior to enrolling.

Interview by a member of the beauty therapy teaching team

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Applicants must be willing to commit hours outside of class times to home study and research

Ability to provide paying clients for assessment opportunities
