About this course
This course will give students the knowledge required to develop, manage and maintain loss prevention systems and procedures in their organisations.
Security managers, loss prevention practitioners, profit protection practitioners,security guards and retail managers.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course. It is helpful but not essential, if the candidate has access to a retail establishment to obtain more benefit from the assignments. The assignments have been carefully developed to provide added value to the student's organisation.
This course covers retail loss prevention within retail outlets but also throughout the distribution network where many losses occur. The material has been written by two authors who between them have over 60 years experience in the retail and investigation sectors. Emphasis is placed on the student being able to apply the knowledge they gain during the course to practical situations in the workplace.

Course content:
This course is delivered as a distance learning course. The course is designed for loss prevention personnel and retail managers. Topics dealt with include law, physical security, shop floor security, distribution chain, investigation procedures, management of loss prevention and online retail profit protection. Delegates leave the course with a course manual of nearly 1000 pages written by two people. One has and still holds senior positions in retail loss prevention for household name companies in the UK and the other has over 30 years experience investigating retail and other crime.
