You will look into what user experience design is, how it can help you create a more user friendly website/mobile app, desktop application or an interactive installation. The course combines theory with practice, each session begins and ends with a lecture, in-between which, you will receive support on your journey from an app idea all the way through to app design.

Course programme

You will receive feedback, critique and helpful tips on how to iterate your design ideas, design wireframes, build and test prototypes and finally, refine and polish your design. You will also consider design documentation and the preparation of assets for developers so that you get familiar with the professional UX processes.

The tools you will be using will allow you to design, draw and add interactions. You can choose from a number of tools and apps available, which your tutor will discuss in the first lecture; these may include: Adobe Illustrator, Sketch and InvisionApp.
