About this course
You'll need at least a C grade in GCSE English Language or Literature to enrol on this course.
If English is your second language, we recommend you have an IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, but we’re happy to review your case on an individual basis.

Course programme
This online course will teach you the AQA Law A Level syllabus (7162).
The course includes 5 units:
- The Nature of Law and Law Making & The Legal System
- Criminal Law
- Tort Law
- Contract Law
- Human Rights
You don't need to study both Contract Law and Human Rights if you'd prefer to pick just one; for your final exam, you'll choose which of the two you want to be examined on.
A Level examsPlease note that you’re responsible for booking your exams.
You’ll arrange to sit them at a school or college roughly 6 months before your chosen exam date.
You'll sit 3 exams for the AQA Law A Level syllabus (7162):

Paper 1 – 7162/1: The nature of law and the English legal system; Criminal law

Paper 2 – 7162/2: The nature of law and the English legal system; Tort
Then your choice of the following:
- Paper 3 - 7162/3A - Law of Contract; the nature of law and the English legal system
- Paper 3 - 7162/3B - Human Rights; the nature of law and the English legal system
Your exam fees aren't included in the course cost as you'll pay these directly to your exam centre.
