About this course
There are no formal entry requirements. Direct entry is possible for some courses. Otherwise, entry is through progression from other courses. As part of the application process all students will be given the opportunity to attend an informal interview. This will allow them to get a feel for the college and discuss their requirements with a member of the Supported Learning team. For this course students should be independent travellers capable of travelling to and from college.

Course Content:
This course will allow students to develop knowledge and skills for employment opportunities.Students will be able to enhance their skills in a number of options such as: Communication; Numeracy; Information Technology; Work skills. The course offers a range of supervised work experiences.
The A.S.E.T course is designed for learners who demonstrate a mature approach to their own learning and future training. The A.S.E.T course requires learners to attend 4 days per week, Tuesday through to Friday (9.30am-3.30pm) On Wednesdays the course is delivered off site and will be 10.00am-3.00pm. Students are encouraged to work on their own and as part of a group, to help develop social and communication skills. These courses are available on a full time basis only.
Progression:
Students can progress onto Vocational Courses, Employment opportunities and Voluntary Work. At the end of each course, students will have the opportunity to discuss their options with a member of the Supported Learning team.
