Advanced Business English & Learning By Doing
MBS classes take place Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
After attending our Advanced Business English course, you will then be ready to join the Learning by Doing Programme, which is designed to help you prepare postgraduate studies at the Manchester Business School, including an MBA.
This eight-week intensive, full-time programme combines an introduction to key business and management concepts, in preparation for your MBA or Masters in Business. It uses a unique practical learning approach which replicates real world business challenges through case studies, group projects, simulations and presentations. You will be placed in situations which mirror both those of postgraduate degrees at the MBS and the workplace enabling you to take on more effectively the challenges you will face both during your subsequent studies and in the work place.

- Management of Organisations and Human Resources including design, structure, management style and company culture
- Marketing Strategies including how to develop sustainable competitive advantage
- Operations Management and Decision making
- Accounting and Finances including Management Accounting, planning and decision making
- Communications and Presentations, including the ‘language of meetings', interpersonal and inter-group communications
- The British and European Business Environment, including the single market and EMU, European business strategy, financing European businesses, accessing European markets
