In this module you will consolidate your learning, drawing on previous knowledge and skills to develop confidence and competence in management in holistic support of a patient and their carer at the end of life.
Within all health care environments, health care professionals are involved in caring for the dying patient. Managing symptoms, supporting the client and care, and using your own and others’ expertise to the benefit of the client, are all important aspects. With the development of end of life care initiatives, the need to provide the right level of care at the right time and in the right place has been emphasised as a paramount importance to all concerned.
About this course
Be able to provide evidence of previous study at Level 5 or above in a related subject area including but not limited to health and social care, social work, health promotion or youth work
Be a health care professional with access to an environment where you will be able to apply your skills to achieve the individual module learning outcomes. This does not specifically need to be employment and could include voluntary work
Offset module credits towards BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (Top-Up)
If you are a registered nurse but do not have a degree qualification, once you’ve completed this module you could offset the 20 credits through recognised prior learning (RPL) towards our online BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (Top-Up) degree. This would reduce the number of modules you would need to study and the total cost of the course.
