Anxiety and Depression in Older Adults
Depression reduces quality of life and is often under diagnosed. This course covers anxiety disorders, including agrophobia, panic and generalised anxiety disorders. The symptoms and treatments are discussed as well as the causes. The common features of depression are covered, as are causative factors and treatments and management of depression. Communication is a vital factor in managing depressed residents and this course deals with the different types of communication.
