    Course

You will study the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Activity Leadership which covers planning, implementing and evaluating activities based around sport, health and safety, equality and diversity & safeguarding. You will also study for the Award in Employer Rights and Responsibilites along with Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. The Technical Certificate in Introduction and Preparation to Coaching or Exercise and Fitness (gym instructor) or Outdoor Activity Leadership will be dependent on your workplace. If you do not hold a GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or other relevant qualifications, you will also undertake functional skills maths and English.

Course programme

Your progress is monitored and assessments arranged as the course progresses. They will take place on-the-job. Assessment has three aspects which are; observation of your actual performance; the knowledge and understanding you display in response to written and/ or spoken questions; and a portfolio of supporting material which you will build up containing assignments, case studies and testimony evidence through the e-portfolio.
