Maintaining health, safety and welfare in a variety of fitness environments
Programming safe and effective sessions for a range of clients - including health benefits and healthy eating

How to programme and teach Pilates in an unsupervised capacity, including planning safe, effective sessions, instructing and self-assessment.

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification. Experience of Pilates classes is highly recommended.

Entry Requirement: A basic understanding of anatomy & physiology and experience in regular Pilates practice.

Unit 1 - Anatomy & Physiology For Exercise And Health - assessed via a multiple choice exam

Unit 2 - Health, Safety And Welfare In A Fitness Environment - assessed via a worksheet

Unit 3 - Principles Of Exercise And Health - assessed via a multiple choice exam

Unit 4 - Know How To Support Clients Who Take Part In Exercise And Physical Activity - assessed via a worksheet

Unit 5 - Programming A Pilates Teaching Session - assessed via a worksheet, client profile, goal setting, 12-week progressive programme, group session overview and plan.

Unit 6 - Delivering A Pilates Teaching Session - assessed via a worksheet, practical delivery, evaluation and reflection.
