Why Tynemet
The course is structured in a way that enables students to progress on to HE Courses with in the college; these include Foundation Degree Fine Art, HND Graphic Design and HND Media. As well as this Student apply through UCAS to Universitys across the country.

Francine Rodgers started the Foundation Diploma from school with an ambition of progressing to Transportation Design at Northumbria University. After successfully completing all units to date and attending an interview Francine has been offered a conditional offer on the course. She is currently completing her Final Major Project with the aim of achieving the grade that will secure her place and future in the design industry.

Teri Elliot started the Foundation Diploma as a returning student, having worked with a local designer and in retail and clothing for 20 years. Teri has joined the course as part of a career change to get back into education and develop skills in a new subject. In the next academic year Teri will be starting the Foundation Degree in Fine Art at Tyne Metropolitan College with the ultimate aim of achieving a B.A Honors degree level qualification.
