The Art of Persuasion
An intensive one-day programme in which participants practise the skills, strategies and techniques of winning over hostile or cynical audiences. The course produces staff who are able to communicate difficult or unpopular messages with diplomacy and reasoned argument. Such individuals are invaluable at times of organisational change - they are the key to the success of any change programme. Participants will develop and deliver a five-minute presentation, with exercises and other input on negotiating skills, the psychology and sociology of teams, the nature of conflict, assertiveness and strategies for presenting difficult messages.
Pre-course work?
You need to have an idea for a 'difficult' presentation, but you are not expected to prepare in any detail.
Dress code?
Casual, though many participants prefer to change into more formal clothes for the presentation itself.
