Course programme
Ashtanga Yoga Beginners 2
If you have recently completed an ashtanga beginners course or are a Level 1 or 1-2 student wanting to understand more fully the alignment necessary for the poses in the ashtanga sequence, this course will give you the in-depth knowledge and encouragement that you need to continue your practice. Learning in a supportive course environment, you will be guided through the next steps in ashtanga yoga, building a solid foundation from which to progress and get the most out of our scheduled classes. Each week we will flow through the sequence of postures with emphasis on one key alignment principal.
Week One: Grounding + Lifting
Week Two: Strengthening The Core
Week Three: Alignment of the Spine
Week Four: Balancing Rotations of Shoulders + Arms
Week Five: Bringing the Alignment Principles of the first 4 weeks together into a flowing class.
