Assertiveness and Self-Confidence DevelopmentDo you avoid speaking out because you fear the reactions of others? Or perhaps you dread those meetings when you have to share your ideas? Maybe you’ve had an interview and wish you’d presented yourself more effectively? Did you know that there are techniques you can learn to help you become more confident and assertive at work? Our friendly trainer will introduce some of these techniques and enable you to:

  • Assess your own level of assertiveness
  • Understand the difference between passive, aggressive and assertive behaviour and ways of responding
  • Recognise and interpret your own body language and that of others
  • Improve your communication with colleagues
  • Deal with criticism and aggression
  • Practise assertiveness techniques through role playing
  • Understand the effect of confidence and self-esteem in our relationships with others
  • Identify behaviours which hinder and help our interactions with other people
  • Complete a helpful feedback exercise
  • Create an action plan to help you back at work
