The Aviation Academy was established at Leeds Bradford International Airport in 2003 and has developed sustainable relationships with employers, delivering education and training according to their needs. The College works directly with aviation companies including Jet2.com, Swissport and the Airport Authorities to ensure students have the most current knowledge and opportunities. This programme is ideal for those wishing to pursue a career in the aviation industry or for those already employed in the aviation industry wishing to move into management.

The programme focuses on the management of airport, airline and ancillary businesses, providing you with a broad understanding of this exciting industry, and training in the core competencies you will need for a career in aviation management.

The recent industry experience of the tutors is also an advantage. A variety of experienced staff include former pilots, Airport Directors and an Airline Marketing Manager. This close involvement with aviation enables graduates to progress directly to relevant careers in the industry.

Students are given an exclusive opportunity to gain employment with Swissport at Leeds Bradford International Airport whilst studying on the course.

Successful students may continue on to complete the Air Transport Management BSc (Hons) (Top-up) or an alternative Honours Degree qualification.
