Course programme
You’ll study how young children engage in learning, observe children in their learning environment, and develop effective strategies to promote their literacy and numeracy. We’ll help you enhance your management, decision-making, research and project management skills, so that you to effect change in your workplace.
You’ll investigate how the early years curriculum is approached internationally, with the potential to undertake visits to settings in several European countries. Contextual understanding is also developed through the scrutiny of political influences on early childhood policy and practice, including issues of citizenship and democracy in early education.
Course assessmentThis course is assessed through research critiques, project reports, presentations, and an extended reflective portfolio.
