About this Course
This programme has been developed in order to offer students the opportunity to engage with the exciting and dynamic challenges presented by the computing and systems development sector. The aim of the programme is to offer the next generation of computing students the opportunity to become confident, capable and, above all, professional.
This is a contemporary, cutting edge programme aimed at students eager to follow a career in various job roles within the high-tech and ever changing world of computing and systems development.
Course Summary
The programme utilises a range of complementary modules, some of which are taught over one semester, and others will last for a full academic year. In order to enable students to develop a deep and analytical knowledge and understanding of both the theories and practice related to computing and systems development.
Students will engage with a variety of contemporary subjects, including: Data analysis and design Web app development Dissertation Technical support Server management

Course programme
At both Rotherham College and North Notts College we provide smaller study groups with training from industry professionals in industry settings. Our connections will allow you to gain the latest skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the computing and systems development industry.
The teaching team are very experienced, approachable and supportive and are fully committed to helping you achieve to the best of your ability.
We also have a range of real-life projects that you’d be invited to work on as part of your programme.
Entry requirements
Successful completion of a computing related subject at Level 5. Foundation Degree (Pass) or HND (Merit). Please note GCSE Maths and English at grade C or equivalent, including basic skills qualifications, are also required.
Emphasis will be placed on a satisfactory interview.
All applicants who are non-native English speakers, or who have not studied the final two years of school in English, must have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above.

What you can progress to
Graduates have the potential to progress onto employment within the computing industry as network engineers, IT consultants, website designers, project managers, analysts, amongst others. There are also opportunities for further study at Level 7 Masters or entry onto a teacher training course.
