Applicants should normally have:

A Qualifying Law Degree, have passed the Graduate Diploma in Law, or have satisfied the Bar Standards Board requirements to embark on the vocational stage of training. Applicants must also have joined an Inn (usually by no later than 30th March in the year in which they intend to join the BPTC) and must also pass the Bar Course Aptitude Test (BCAT) which is administered by the Bar Standards Board.
