About this course

This course will benefit anyone who works in a situation where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering businesses – for example, pubs, hotels, restaurants, caters, fast-food outlets, hospitals, care homes, schools, prisons and armed forces. It may also be interesting to people who cook at home.

It is recommended that you have the ESOL Skills for Life Entry Level 3 Certificate, or a good level of numeracy and literacy, as you will need to read handouts and complete an exam. A basic knowledge of food safety would also be beneficial, but is not essential.
