About this Course
During the course you will learn a range of practical woodworking skills covering site carpentry, bench joinery and cabinet making. There is also a theory aspect to the course to give you a good underpinning knowledge of the topics covered.

How will I be assessed?
There is no formal examination to sit, the course assessment is entirely based upon your practical work together with a small amount of written work covering basic tools etc.
What added value will I receive?
The course is run by experienced staff in new, purpose built workshops with a huge range of tools and equipment. The construction department has recently been awarded a grade 1 outstanding by Ofsted.
What can I progress to?
On completion of the course you may progress onto the certificate in basic construction.
