Course Description
All College First courses include Vocational studies, English, Maths and IT. You may be involved in additional activities, ie visits and trips. You will join an induction to help you settle into the section.You will develop a range of employability skills and techniques, understanding, personal qualities and attitudes. The course will help develop Brickwork skills through effective use and combination of knowledge and skills gained during the course.

Entry Requirements
GCSEs: At least 4 GCSEs at Grade E one of which must be English. (Maths required for some subjects)

  • Timber-Framed Construction
  • Stepped Foundations
  • Chimney Stack and Flues
  • Brick and Block Gable end

Assessment: The course is assessed on your practical ability, but you will complete some underpinning knowlegde to help with your understanding of the topics covered.
