Jewellery is one of our most popular courses. We have a spacious design studio and a well-equipped workshop with a forge. Our experienced tutor will introduce you to the materials, techniques and processes of jewellery making.
Ten-week sessions cover Manipulating Metals in the first term, Casting and Stone Setting in the second term and Wire-work and Mixed Media in the third term.
Some basic materials will be supplied throughout the course but you will need to purchase further specialist materials, such as semi, precious metals and stones.
Recruitment – if we do not recruit to our target numbers we will try to offer the courses at reduced hours, or merge classes on different nights. There may be students in the group who have completed a 10 week course, therefore you may be working in a mixed group. If a course does not recruit enough students to run, you will receive a refund. Please refer to the Part-time prospectus for guidance on other refund issues.
