Course Description
This syllabus has been developed for candidates who wish to study Biology beyond GCSE level, probably with the aim of progressing to Higher Education. During the first year, 2 modules are studied and examined. This leads to the AS Level qualification.If a student proceeds to the second year of the course, they are examined on a further two modules which lead to the full A Level qualification.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, usually including English and Maths.

• Practical skills in Biology 1
• Communications, Homeostasis and Energy
• Control, Genomes and Environment
• Practical Skills in Biology 2

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: You will be assessed through two examinations and practical activities during each accademic year. You will be expected to show understanding of complex biological concepts and apply your knowledge to different situations.
