Course Description
All College First courses include Vocational studies, English, Maths and IT. You may be involved in additional activities, ie visits and trips. You will join an induction to help you settle and it may be possible to take more than one vocational option.You will develop a range of employability skills and techniques, understanding, personal qualities and attitudes. The course will help develop Brickwork skills through effective use and combination of knowledge and skills gained during the course.

Entry Requirements
GCSEs: few, one of which must be English, at grade F or below or Pass in relevant E2 qualification and Pass at E2 literacy.

Modules Studied:

  • Carrying Out Operations
  • Contributing to Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Handling and Storing Materials/Components
  • Personal Work Skills

Duration: 3-9 months

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: A range of methods will be used, including assignments, practical assessment and, for some courses, external tests and portfolio work.

Progression Routes: You can continue your studies onto a vocational course at Level 1 or choose to pursue employment.
