Course programme

Course detail
This course is offered in Hong Kong and is managed by Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education – it features the same curriculum as the UK equivalent and the qualification is awarded by UWL.
Please visit http://www.uwl.ac.uk/hong-kong-centre/welcome for more information.
The course is full-time and provides the students with the opportunity to build on their previous study and further develop their knowledge and understanding of health and healthcare.

Key topic areas include:
understanding health and healthcare systems
physiology and management of related pathologies
health promotion and public health
leadership and management in healthcare
critical analysis, enquiry and research skills.
The course provides an exciting opportunity for students to meet peers who have studied a range of healthcare topics both in the UK and overseas. It will be delivered by expert and skilled lecturers from within the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare. The course is theory-based and does not have any practical placements – it is therefore suitable for students who are currently working in healthcare practice but want to further develop their knowledge of healthcare on a part time basis, and for students who wish to study full-time.
Depending on the academic credit associated with your Foundation Degree/Diploma, you may enter at the second or final year of the course.
