Who is the course for?
The course is for anyone who has acheived an A Level or Level 3 National Diploma in art related subjects.

What is the course about?
The course is a modular programme, offering the opportunity to study the areas of Graphic Design, Fine Art and Sculpture, Ceramics, 3D Design, Fashion and Textiles and Photography. You will be taught the basic understanding of design principles and skills alongside the study of art and design history.

Assignments are varied and creative covering many different skills and they are completed using many different techniques.

Will I need anything else?
You will be expected to provide a basic art kit containing a range of painting and drawing equipment, a sketchbook and plastic portfolio. A list will be given to you at interview. You may also be required to purchase specialist materials for your project work.

How long & often do I attend?
This course is offered as a one year substantial programme and requires attendance of several lectures, practical sessions and workshops per week; additional time will also need to be spent by the students in carrying out project work and to complete research. You will be required to attend for a minimum of 95%.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is continuous. You will be marked on practical and written work which will provide the evidence on which your grades will be based. There is a formal exhibition at the end of the course which is graded.
