Is the course for me?
This course is for students who wish to progress on to specialist study at Foundation Art & Design specialising in Textiles/ Fashion, Graphic Design or Fine Art, HE Degree/HND level. It offers students the opportunity to identifiy and develop personal creative strengths in the skills area of visual arts.

What will I learn?
The course will begin with an introduction to drawing, materials, techniques and processes. Historical and contextual understanding is studied alongside the practical elements of the course. Students will have specialist tuition in computer aided design. Students will study a variety of mixed media skills and techniques leading to Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Illustration, Fine Art ,Textile Surface Design and much more design techniques to take you through the world of Design.

How will I be assessed?
There will be continuous assessment culminating in a final major project during the final term, resulting in a end of year Exhibition.

What can I do after the course?
You can progress onto a Foundation Course in either Fine Art, Textile/Fashion or Graphic Design. You can also progress onto a Higher Education specilaised Degree programme or find employment within the industry.
