Course programme

Through direct tuition and scenario activities the learner will develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of the intricacies of Teaching Children and Vulnerable Groups. Academic study is required along with practical assessment of skills. The subjects covered include: Unit 1: Health & Safety in the Workplace Unit 6: The protection of Children and Vulnerable Groups Unit 7: The EDIP Instructional Technique Unit 11: Student Development Unit 12: Teaching Through Activity Unit 13: Working with Parents and Guardians All learners will be required to submit a portfolio based on the course content and personal study. The assessments will be conducted by staff independent to the course to ensure its neutrality and further external verification of the awards will be conducted by Edexcel.
