Course Content: This course aims to provide you with the vital skills and techniques required for a career in Graphic Communications.

Throughout the course you will cover specialist aspects of Graphic Design such as ideas-generation, typography, computers in art and design, and graphic image making/illustration. You will develop a range of design skills through the completion of various design projects which will include: logo design; poster design; advertising; CD and book cover design; magazine layouts; storyboards and illustration. Competitions and live briefs often feature. In the first term, students will get the chance to gain skills in Animation and Photography, alongside studying Graphic Design.

You will be working within a realistic, professional studio atmosphere with access to a fully equipped Apple Mac Suite. You will be working with experienced staff, with knowledge of commercial practice. Students receive excellent support you and are encouraged to develop your all-round skills and to fulfil your own creative potential.

Special Features: Access to a fully equipped Apple Mac Suite. Residential to London or abroad.

Course Format: Practical based.

Progression: As this course is equivalent to 3 A Levels, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a HND or BA Honours degree in subjects such as graphic design, advertising, computer graphics, illustration or packaging design. Alternatively, students may choose to seek employment in a graphic design studio.

Entry Requirement:
