Business with Foundation Year (BSc): 6-year, part-time

Birkbeck's BSc Business with Foundation Year provides a perfect route to study for those who do not meet the entry requirements for direct entry to an undergraduate business degree, who do not feel they are quite ready for an undergraduate degree, or who are returning to study after a significant break and would like extra help and support. The Foundation Year will help build your confidence and provide you with the skills to study successfully at undergraduate level.

This programme focuses on the different functional areas of business and will provide you with a solid foundation for a career in business management. It is distinctive in its flexibility moving from generic business skills early on to more specialist knowledge as the programme progresses.

Our part-time Foundation Year degrees allows you to spread out your Foundation Year studies over two years. As the 'Foundation Year' is made up of 120 credits, as a part-time student you can take 60 credits in each of your first and second years before starting the main four-year BSc Business. This means that you can take six years to complete the part-time degree with Foundation Year.
