This ceramics course combines the techniques of throwing, turning and decorating pots. This enables you to make
a broad variety of thrown forms, while applying different decorating techniques to your pots.

About this course
- Produce a variety of thrown forms
- Learn to turn your thrown forms to refine their shapes
- Use a variety of clays
- Use a broad variety of decoration techniques
- Understand the sequence of using various decorative techniques
- Use surface decoration in a personal and innovative way.
There is a charge of £2.00 per 500g for clay before firing, the porcelain charge is £17.50 per bag/ £8.75 per half bag.

Course programme
Beginner students:
- You will learn to 'wedge' clay, and create a series of thrown and turned forms
Intermediate students:
- Can develop individual work, including bowls, vases, plates, spouts, lids and handles will also be taught so that
you can make jars and teapots
- You will be taught to decorate your vessels,to use slip, oxides, glazes and enamels, lustres
- Printing techniques will be used with graphite and brush work.
