If you want to work as a chartered certified accountant, the F8 Audit and Assurance paper is an essential step in helping you to realise your ambitions.
The University’s highly qualified and experienced staff will offer you support and expert tuition to help you develop a deep understanding of the process of conducting assurance engagements, as well as considering its application in the context of the professional regulatory framework. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the nature, purpose and scope of assurance engagements, both internally and externally.
The course is designed to give you the foundation from which you could be able to explain the concept of audit and assurance, as well as the functions of audit and corporate governance – including ethics and professional conduct. You’ll also be encouraged to learn how to demonstrate how an auditor obtains and accepts audit engagements, assesses the risk of material misstatement, and plans an audit of financial statements. In addition, you’ll receive support designed to help you evaluate internal controls, techniques and audit tests, as well as understand the impact of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) on successful audits.
