Your vocational journey will be mapped out and planned to enable you to progress to higher level courses. Our programme is varied and wide-ranging and will prepare you for further study or for employment. In addition, we include "fun type" activities such as outdoor pursuits, driving, community volunteering, swimming, drama and much more for you to experience. Many of our students have achieved success on higher level programmes after progressing from foundation courses.
What will I study?
The Skills for Working Life qualification allows students to study the following broad based vocational routes: Business, Administration and Retail; Health and Social Care; Sport and Recreation; Hospitality and Catering. Taster sessions are offered in Construction, Hairdressing and Barbering.
What will I achieve?
You will receive the Edexcel Entry Level Award, Certificate in Skills for Working Life. This qualification facilitates progression to a variety of other qualifications and to Level 1 of the national framework.
How is the course assessed?
The course is assessed via assignment work and a portfolio of evidence.
