After this course you could progress to a Level 1 course in Retail, Hospitality and Customer Service. You will gain work experience in a Retail outlet within College and may join our referral programme to Open or Supported Employment.

This course is about preparing for employment, building skills, knowledge and confidence through team work. You will take part in work experience running a retail enterprise.

Introduction to looking after customers in retail or hospitality environment
Introduction to handling stock
Introduction to keeping work clean, tidy and safe in a retail environment
Basic cooking /Serving Food and Drink

Taking part in an Enterprise project
Career planning and making applications
Rights and responsibilities in the workplace
Searching and applying for jobs
Improving interview skills
Managing time and money for leisure activities
You will also have regular study in English & Maths in order to gain qualifications in all three functional skills.
