What will I learn?
You will study four compulsory units: databases, spreadsheets, word processing/desk top publishing and information sources. You will follow a core programme of communication and English and numeracy and they must complete a portfolio which will provide which will provide evidence of the work completed during the course.

How will I be assessed?
You wil be continuoulsy assessed throughout the course. There will be externally set written tests in basic skills.

What could I do next?
You could progress to a BTEC Introductory Diploma in IT Work or other Level 1 IT courses. Those who successfully achieve a full Entry Level 3 national certificate in literacy can progress on to any Level 1 Vocational Programme at the College (subject to the College's progression guarantee).
