Certificate In Teaching In The Lifelong Learning Sector (CTTLS)

About the course:
This course is for teachers who require an introduction to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector such as those in further, adult and community education, work-based learning and the voluntary sector, technicians and support staff in further and adult education, and training personnel in commerce, industry and the public sector.

Course Content:
Candidates will study the theory and practice of teaching, training and learning; assessment and evaluation; use of resources and the development of appropriate communication skills.

Even if you have a level 2 qualification you will be required to demonstrate competency.
The qualification may be awarded at Level 3 or Level 4 and is assessed through ongoing assignments during the course. This course encompasses the 7303 Award in preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Equipment Requirements:
You will be required to supply your own paper, pens, ruler & folder to enable participation in the classes.

Assessment:
The Course is assessed by assignments for each of the core units. Time also needs to be allocated for self-directed study and research.

Progression:
Those wishing to progress onto the( DTLLS) Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or the (PCET)Post Compulsory Education & Training.

Additional Information:
Part time, one session a week for one year.
